📣📽 Audre Lorde (February 18, 1934 – November 17, 1992) was a pathbreaking American Black lesbian, socialist, feminist poet and professor.

This film uses previously unreleased footage of Lorde on and off stage from director Dagmar Schultz's archives, paired with insights from Lorde's colleagues and friends into the last years of her life and advocacy. Her work served as a catalyst in the Afro-German movement in West Berlin, challenged white women to engage in meaningful solidarity, and inspired a generation of writers and poets of color in Germany.

Lorde's impact on generations of scholars, poets, activists, women, feminists, and others across backgrounds cannot be overstated. She was a courageous, fierce feminist whose legacy looms large and lives on.
