In March of this year, Tegan and Sara Foundation launched an emergency response fund to meet immediate COVID-19 needs within the LGBTQ+ community across Canada and the United States. They were specifically looking to grant small essential organizations specifically benefitting intersectionality marginalized groups within the LGBTQ+ community. 

 

We are honored to announce we are one of the 2020 Tegan and Sara Foundation Community Grant recipients! We are proud to be among the many organizations across North America who dedicate their work to responding to the needs of the LGBTQ+ community. The COVID-19 pandemic has only highlighted existing disproportionate disparities within the Black LGBTQ+ community, therefore Affinity Community Services extends a huge thank you to the Tegan and Sara Foundation for believing in our mission.
