The long held tradition of Burning Bowl serves three purposes. The Burning ceremony is designed to help us all become clear in our intentions, release old habits that get in our way, and set goals for our next chapter. The intergenerational dialogue gives Affinity the opportunity to listen directly to community needs for future programs. Finally, we gather to celebrate outstanding individuals for their service within the Black LGBTQ Community.
We honor our people's resilience while nurturing ourselves and each other. For over two decades, Burning Bowl has been our ritual for fellowship, reflection, and creating a shared vision for the next season. This year we look forward to presenting Affinity's new strategic plan.
